This was more of an experimental piece. My goal was to work with a limited color pallet. I decided that blue was going to be my darkest color and that yellow would be my lightest. I also really wanted the red to pop in the piece, but also be the unifying color. So I threw together a character and did a bust portrait of a character mid fight, right at the turning point of, “Maybe I’m in over my head.”
